Liberty Seated Dimes, 1837-1891

1837-1838 Liberty Seated No Stras Dime design was inspired by Gobrecht's Silver Dollar of 1836. The Reverse is a wreath and inscription. The typeonly Philadelphia Mint in 1837 and New Orleans Mint in 1838.
1838-1860 Liberty Seated With Stars Dimes were first made without drapery at the elbow. Drapery was added on the style of the 1840 onward.
1860-1891 Liberty Seated Legend Obverse Dimes now with UNITED STATE OF AMERICA in place of the stars and encircled ONE DIME in two lines.
All dimes composition 0.900 Silver and 0.100 Copper, weight are varied by the period and all have diamter 17.9 mm.
